At Merlin Top Primary Academy we have a wide range of activities to help pupils develop independence, self-esteem and well-being. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in after school clubs, represent the school in competitions and visit local museums and places of worship. We also have lots of visitors into school and we frequently take learning outside.

Pupils also have the chance to join the school council, which is run and organised by Mr Anderson. For 2017-18 the chair is Macie Jolley in Year 6 and the vice-chair is Reece Smith also in Year 6. The school council meet every Friday and are actively involved in running whole school initiatives and events such as organising Harvest festival donations and the sale of poppies.
